Equipment Set-Up and Endorsements
This is a view of my setup looking straight on. My Toca congas are the centerpiece of my rig. The rack and hardware are Gibraltar. Behind me is a Zildjian gong and around me are eight Zildjian cymbals (crashes, splashes, and chinas).
From this left-side view you can see my Toca bongos, timbales, and the Roland SPD-11 (I now use the SPD-20) electronic percussion pads. Bottom center, you can see the medium size shekere I made for the road. The fan?...I have no idea who makes the fan, but I do know it keeps me calm, & well chilled! All drum heads are Remo. I use one brass Toca marktree (left) and one aluminum OM (right).
From this right-side view, you can see the variety of toys I suspend. They include some toys I've made (i.e. key-chime, bead-ball) as well as my "El Niño" collapsible rainstick (long black stick on far right) that no percussionist should be without! See my Hand Made Percussion page.
Here is a close-up of my "TOYZ & FX" table.
Here I am with David Haney creator of one of my favorite pieces of gear the Zendrum.
